ACCESS Steering Committee MeetingSovithiea
Last month Deputy Ambassador, Luke Arnold, co-chaired the 4th ACCESS Steering Committee meeting with His Excellency Em Chan Makara, Secretary of State, Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY), and Secretary General, Disability Action Council Secretariat General.
The meeting showcased the achievements of ACCESS (Australia-Cambodia Cooperation for Equitable Sustainable Services), including the successful implementation of effective responses to gender-based violence and disability inclusion in Cambodia.
“We are very pleased to witness the agility of the ACCESS program and its partners, (government and non-government) to pivot the program to address COVID-19 challenges. Australia is proud to support your efforts to provide an immediate response to the crisis for the most vulnerable Cambodians” Mr Arnold said.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as Deputy Provincial Governors from Siem Reap, Kampong Speu, and Kampong Cham province.
