On August 27 and 28, in collaboration with the Australia-Cambodia Cooperation for Equitable Sustainable Services (ACCESS) Program, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs organised a training on “Referral Guidelines for Women and Girl Survivors of Gender-Based Violence”. The objective of the training was to increase participants’ skills in providing survivor-centred case management and referrals based on the requisite guidelines, and to further learn about case registration, referral forms and data collection. From 3 to 14 August 2020, a series of events were held that were each organized by the respective Provincial Department of Women’s Affairs (PDOWA) in coordination with the District Administration. Protective materials were distributed to service providers (district and commune level) and vulnerable women in 21 targeted districts of six provinces including Kampong Cham, Siem Reap, Kampong Speu, Tboung Khum, Rattanakiri, and Preah Sihanouk. With support from the Australia-Cambodia Cooperation for Equitable and Sustainable Services (ACCESS) Program, on 28 July 2020 the Ministry of Women’s Affairs organised a third quarterly meeting of the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Workstream. The meeting was highly attended with participation from the Australian Embassy, Representatives from the Provincial Department of Women’s Affairs (PDOWA), the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and ACCESS’s Implementing Partners (IPs) such as Cambodian Women’s Crisis Center (CWCC), Legal Aid of Cambodia [...]


ADD International conducted a three-day workshop on disability inclusion in Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Response Services from 20 to 22 July in Phnom Penh. The workshop was attended by a diverse range of 33 participants, including representatives from Self Help Groups (SHGs), Women with Disability Federations (WWDFs), and Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO). These participants were selected from the target provinces​ (Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Kampong Speu) of Inclusive Disability Enhancement in ACCESS (IDEA). (more…)
