Celebrating Khmer New Year 2023 with our ACCESS Family

Every year in mid-April, Cambodians celebrate the Khmer New Year with their beloved friends and family. They travel to their hometowns or visit tourist sites, participating in cultural ceremonies and activities at the pagodas during the holiday. Each of the three days of celebration has specific events that mark unforgettable memories for Cambodians.

This year, on 7 April 2023, before the upcoming New Year celebrations from 14-16 April, the Australia-Cambodia Cooperation for Equitable Sustainable Services (ACCESS) Program team gathered at the ACCESS compound to celebrate the Khmer New Year. Monks were invited to bless the team, and the celebration concluded with entertainment to welcome the upcoming New Year’s holiday.
