Mr Sum Sam Eng : A Champion Working to Promote the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Community

SUM Sam EngMr Sum Sam Eng is the leader of the Organisation of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) in Samraong district of the Kampong Speu province. He has a visual impairment that was caused by a disease contracted when he was 17 years old. He is very passionate about promoting the rights of persons with disabilities, circulating crucial information related to disability and gender-based violence (GBV) services, and coordinating disability inclusion activities with related stakeholders to promote responsive and effective services for persons with disabilities.

He has had several opportunities to attend training programs to further build his capacity and participated in meetings at the national and subnational levels to highlight the concerns of persons with disabilities.
