Ms Tann Soren : The Banana Chips Seller from Siem Reap

Ms Tann Soren lives in the Siem Reap province. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in finance, she struggled to secure a job in that field due to the lack of accessible transportation, low self-esteem and various forms of discrimination linked to her physical impairment.

Ms Soren hence decided to enrol in training programs to improve her business. To promote her product, Ms Soren, and her husband, who also has a physical impairment, are able to sell her product via social media, including Facebook and Tik Tok under account names: Phouen Sokphal and Candy Sweet. She is also using her skills acquired in financial management to better support her business and to further scale up her business. She plans to introduce her banana chips to supermarkets and tourist sites in Siem Reap.
