Partnering to Improve the Lives of Persons with Disabilities and Women Affected by Gender-Based Violence

ACCESS is proud to announce the establishment of thirteen partnerships with UN, civil society and private sector organisations to work on improving the lives of persons with disabilities and women affected by gender-based violence. Partners were selected through a competitive selection process overseen by the ACCESS Competitive Investment Mechanism Panel.

Of the thirteen partners selected, seven partners will collaborate with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs to ensure that women affected by gender-based violence can access quality services to fulfil their rights and needs. These include the Asia Foundation, the Cambodian Women Crisis Centre, Care Australia, Legal Aid Cambodia, Transcultural Psychosocial Organisation, UNFPA and UN Women.

The other six partners including Agile Development Group, the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organisation, Chamroeun Microfinance Plc., Humanity and Inclusion, Light for the World, and UNDP will work closely with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and the Disability Action Council to support persons with disabilities to realise their rights and to access rehabilitation services and economic opportunities. ACCESS brings together the skills, expertise and experience of government, non-government and the private sector to contribute to the quality of the lives of persons with disabilities and women affected by gender-based violence in Cambodia.
